Parish councils and parish meetings are the smallest unit of local government in England. Some parish councils are styled "town council", "village council", "neighbourhood council", "community council", or even "city council".

WhatDoTheyKnow adds town and parish councils on request; we don't have a list of all of them to enable us to add them in bulk. Parent authorities often have lists of parishes in their own areas.
