Agricultural Wages Committees are established by orders made under section 2 of the Agricultural Wages Act 1948. Tha main such order is SI 1974/515, which has been amended by SI 1981/179, SI 1989/1773({{#formlink:form=Legislation|link text=add|query string=Legislation[Type]=uksi&Legislation[Year]=1989&Legislation[Number]=1773}}), and SI 2007/395 so as to provide for AWCs covering:

- Norfolk
- North Yorkshire
- Shropshire
- Suffolk
- Combinations of counties in England:
- Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire
- Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire
- Cheshire and Staffordshire
- Cleveland, Durham, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear
- Cornwall and Isles of Scilly
- Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire
- Dorset and Somerset
- East Sussex and Kent

- Gloucestershire, Avon and Wiltshire
- Hampshire and Isle of Wight
