This act provides for the abolition of a large number of bodies and the re-organisation of many others. It lists these bodies in several schedules according to what might happen to them. In general, abolition or re-organisation is implemented by statutory instrument, and such instruments may well amend the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to update or remove references to bodies.

Schedule 1

Bodies in this schedule can be abolished.

• Administrative Justice and Tribunals Council (abolished and removed by SI 2013/2042)
• Advisory Committee on Hazardous Substances (established under section 140(5) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990) (abolished and removed by SI 2012/1923)
• Advisory Committee on Pesticides and Advisory Committee on Pesticides for Northern Ireland (bodies established under section 16(7) of the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985)
• Agricultural dwelling-house advisory committees for areas in England
• Agricultural Wages Board for England and Wales
• Agricultural wages committees for areas in England
• Aircraft and Shipbuilding Industries Arbitration Tribunal (abolished and removed by SI 2013/686)
• British Shipbuilders and any subsidiary of British Shipbuilders (within the meaning of section 1159 of the Companies Act 2006) (abolished and removed by SI 2013/687)
• BRB (Residuary) Limited (abolished and removed by SI 2013/2314)
• Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission (abolished and removed by SI 2012/2007)
• Commission for Rural Communities (removed by SI 2012/2654)
• Committee on Agricultural Valuation (the body established under section 92 of the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986) (abolished and removed by SI 2014/1068)
• Competition Service
• Courts boards (abolished and removed by SI 2012/1206)
• Crown Court Rule Committee (abolished and removed by SI 2012/2398^{({{#formlink:form=Legislation|link text=add|query string=Legislation[Type]=uksi&Legislation[Year]=2012&Legislation[Number]=2398}})})
