FOISA Schedule I includes:
- A joint board, within the meaning of section 235(1) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 (c.65)
"Joint board" is defined by the 1973 Act as follows:
- “joint board” means a body corporate, constituted for the purposes of a combination of local authorities under this Act or by or under any other enactment, consisting exclusively of persons appointed by the local authorities;
These include:
- Grampian Fire Board (established by SI 1995/2632)
- Highland and Islands Fire Board (established by SI 1995/2633)
- Lothian and Borders Fire Board (established by SI 1995/2634)
- Central Scotland Fire Board (established by SI 1995/2635)
- Strathclyde Fire Board (established by SI 1995/2636)
- Tayside Fire Board (established by SI 1995/2637)
